About us
Our association
The «Swiss Pain Society (SPS)» (formerly known as SGSS/SSED) as the national representative of the International Society for the Study of Pain (IASP) welcomes you to our website. We are pleased about your interest.
On the one hand, the aim of the non-profit society is to promote research in the field of pain therapy. On the other hand, we want to support the exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience in the field of clinical work as well as teaching and further education, especially throughout Switzerland.
Our members, as well as non-members or interested parties, are offered a portal to approach the topic of pain as a multifaceted phenomenon.
You will benefit from information on scientific and clinical content in the field of pain therapy as well as links to specific institutions related to pain.
Event topics and data, literature references and dates, both national and international, can be viewed. Among other things, it is possible to enter into an active forum with regularly announced meetings in the form of a Special Interest Group (SIG’s).
We are looking forward to a lively exchange with you in order to further develop pain therapy in Switzerland and thereby continuously improve the interdisciplinary treatment standard in the field of pain therapy.
